How can I find a heat pump installer?

When installing a heat pump system, finding a qualified professional installer who can offer you the most competitive price will be important. Prices sometimes vary significantly between different installers, so it always pays to "shop around" by getting several quotes from different installers.

How to find installers

To receive financial support through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI), it will be mandatory that your installer as well as the equipment used are certified under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS). The official directory for MCS certified installers and products is available at www.microgenerationcertification.org, so this is the best place to start.

In addition to the MCS certification, some installers voluntarily join other professional bodies and agree to abide by their codes, so you can check any memberships held by the installer, to see what they entail.
